The Canadian Western Pulp Company has decided that it will increase the prices of North America bleached softwood pulp in Europe and the United States.
Western Pulp will start raising its US and North America bleached softwood pulp prices by US$40 per ton from April 1. After the price increase, Western pulp company's product price in Europe will be 560 US dollars per ton, in the United States the price will be 580 US dollars per ton.
Western Pulp is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Doman Industries of Canada. Doman Industries is a comprehensive Canadian product company and is the second largest coastal forest management company in British Columbia, Canada.
