Art Deco Tribute from WeWork in Paris

WeWork has always been about more than just co-working spaces. This time, they've chosen Paris as their canvas, drawing inspiration from the vibrant bohemian lifestyle of the 1920s — a period known as the "Années Folles." Their new space, called WeWork La Fayette, is a tribute to Art Deco and the creative energy of that era.

Located in the heart of Paris, WeWork La Fayette is a stunning blend of old-world elegance and modern functionality. Designed in collaboration with Axel Schoenert Architects, this space captures the spirit of the 1920s while offering a dynamic environment for today's professionals.

"We wanted to create a space that reflects the artistic and cultural energy of the 1920s," the team explained. "By using materials that evoke the opulence of the time, we aimed to bring the bohemian spirit of Paris into a modern co-working environment."

The entrance leads into a grand atrium with 22-foot ceilings, designed to be the central hub for members and guests. The space preserves the original 1930s design elements, such as glass blocks on the roof and marble flooring, while incorporating modern touches like brushed brass and walnut finishes.

In the main pantry area, a striking color palette of green and white tiles is complemented by brushed brass accents. On the opposite side, there are horseshoe banquettes covered in chestnut brown leather, adding a touch of luxury and comfort.

The Art Deco influence is evident throughout the space, from the geometric patterns in the semi-private work areas to the golden and brass details. Each booth is upholstered in rose or emerald green velvet, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere for focused work.

With over 150 locations across 15 countries, WeWork continues to redefine the way people work and connect. Their latest Parisian project is a perfect example of how design can inspire creativity and collaboration.
