"Stop-and-go walking and taking pictures with the VIDIT sports camera review
It took nearly half a month to prepare for this long-term project. It was near the end of May, and finally, I was able to walk back and forth. The plan was to hike through Shennongjia for three days during the May Day holiday. I was very excited to receive a brand-sponsored sports camera before I left because it allowed me to record more footage in addition to my own SLR camera. The time spent with the VIDIT camera brought me many surprises.

I was fortunate enough to get the first batch of VIDIT cameras. After receiving the product, I couldn't wait to open the box and check out what this so-called 'artifact' was. Sure enough, the accessories were complete, and the packaging and product craftsmanship were all very elaborate. The excitement was real, and it was time to play. I didn’t pay much attention to the lack of product specifications in the package. It’s worth mentioning that being part of the first batch made me an early user who had to figure out how to use it. Before the evaluation, I would like to introduce a simple product guide. I hope you can get familiar with this product through these initial observations.
After unboxing the product, I was really impressed; the black gift box had a simple design, with a clear and beautiful VIDIT logo, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
During the playing time, I learned how to operate the camera and discovered the functions of the four buttons on the host, as well as various settings.
The four buttons on the host are: Set key (top), Up key, Down key, and Power key (on/off, return). Turning off the device requires a long press on the power button—try to find it yourself.
On the camera host, there are settings for brightness, sound, camera connection mode, and a two-dimensional code.
For the app operation, after downloading and installing the corresponding system package from the official website, you can open the app and search for the camera device. Turn on your phone’s WLAN and search for the camera device through WLAN. Once the AP mode is enabled, the LED screen displays the device name at the top and the password at the bottom. Enter the password to connect.
After setting up the WLAN, opening the app automatically connects to the camera and jumps to the video control interface. Click the corresponding buttons to easily record.

Clicking the video list button on the left enters the video list interface, where you can click on videos to preview them. Click the play button to watch normally.
Clicking the right setting button opens the camera settings interface, as shown below.
Returning to the main page of the app can be done by clicking the return key. You can see the device icon, video list button, and drop-down arrow on the app screen. Click the drop-down arrow to set the corresponding options.
At the upper right corner of the app home page, clicking the "three" icon allows you to set the camera GPS positioning binding map, such as Gaode Map. When recording videos outdoors, the camera can directly record the location data and show your travel trajectory on the map.
The reduced position map on the left shows the approximate location, while the enlarged map displays the journey's path.

Recorded videos can be edited directly in the app, allowing you to cut out the desired clips and upload them to the internet via your phone. (This description is for the Android app only.)
Find the video you need to edit or use in the video playlist and enter the playback state.
1) Click the button above the video timeline. When the button turns green, start capturing the desired video.
2) Click the play button to play or drag the video thumbnail to the end of your desired video.
3) The app's folder allows offline playback (disconnected from the camera) on your phone. The corresponding path button on the mobile phone app is “Downloaded Video.â€
Save the video screenshot: In the video playback interface, click on the main video screen. The text “Save image†appears at the top of the screen. Click the text, and the prompt “The picture has been saved to the library†appears.
Camera accessories: From the existing accessories in the box, the basic setup is relatively complete. Through the link of various accessories, you can basically meet a variety of outdoor carrying needs.

Ride the camera and fix it on the handlebars; free your hands and enjoy cycling. The fixed camera accessories can be adjusted in multiple angles, allowing the camera to capture more angled video.
Climbing, fixing the camera on the helmet; for climbers and rock climbers, there is no redundant hand to control the camera. Fixing the camera on the head helmet can get the best shooting angle. During climbing, the camera follows your perspective to record the entire climb.
On the hike, fix the camera on the shoulder strap of the backpack. In the process of hiking, both hands must take on various tasks such as operating trekking poles, drinking water, and pushing forward the obstacles. It is impossible to hold the camera with hands. So, the camera is fixed on the shoulder strap of the backpack; look at my whole body equipment, two-hand trekking pole, right shoulder walkie-talkie, left chest VIDIT camera. However, along the way, the direction of the camera turned; in fact, more often than not, I just held him to shoot some pictures that I would like to take more fully use the power.
