This year’s Asia Bike Show has brought in Daren Panle, a renowned domestic DH (Downhill) rider, to personally design a series of exciting burdock-themed experience days! With various levels of difficulty, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The event is once again taking place at the familiar venue of Nanjing Zhongshan Sports Park, on October 8th. The experience routes are divided into two main sections: the highway test road and the mountain test road.
**Highway Test Road**
The highway route consists of two loop segments, both starting from Zhongshan Sports Park. The longer route is approximately 4.1 km, while the shorter one is about 2 km. These routes are designed to cater to different fitness levels, making it accessible for all riders.
**Mountain Test Road**
**Difficulty Level 1 Star**
Route 5: Lake Road (XC) – If you're just starting out, this is the perfect choice. It offers a scenic ride around the lake, combining fun with beautiful views. No matter your age or bike experience, this route is a great way to enjoy the sport.
**Difficulty Level 2 Stars**
Route 1: XC-AM – This route tests the performance of both soft-tail and hard-tail bikes on dirt roads. It adds a bit of challenge without reaching professional-level risks, making it ideal for intermediate riders.
**Difficulty Level 3 Stars**
Route 4: Uphill and Downhill Loop (XC-AM) – This route features more rugged terrain, focusing on climbing performance and maneuverability on steep slopes. Think of it as a professional upgrade of Route 1, offering a more intense but still manageable experience.
**Difficulty Level 4 Stars**
Route 2: Gravel Downhill Area (AM-DH) – This route uses gravel paths to test the responsiveness of soft-tail bikes and rear wheel stability. It requires a higher level of skill, especially in braking control and balancing the bike’s center of gravity. A true test of rider-bike synergy.
**Difficulty Level 5 Stars**
Route 3: Feipai Experience Zone (AM-DH, Dirt) – One of the most challenging trails in the Wuchi Mountain Test Trail, this route offers high-speed descents and pushes the limits of shock absorption. It's an extreme experience that's best suited for professionals. Non-professionals are advised to approach with caution.
**Science Tips**
Mountain bikes, also known as all-terrain bikes (MTB or ATB), are designed for off-road use on dirt, rocky, and uneven surfaces. They feature wide, multi-tooth tires that provide grip and shock absorption. In recent years, suspension systems have become standard, with front and rear suspension models gaining popularity.
**XC (Cross Country)** – This type of bike is used for off-road cycling on relatively flat terrain with moderate elevation changes. XC bikes prioritize lightweight design over durability, typically using hard-tail frames with less than 100mm of suspension travel.
**AM (All Mountain)** – All-Mountain bikes cover a range of terrains, including trail, enduro, and more. They are built for heavier use and offer better durability and comfort. Most AM bikes come with full suspension, usually with around 130mm of travel.
**DH (Downhill)** – Downhill bikes are specifically designed for high-speed descents on technical trails. They feature heavy-duty frames, often made of aluminum or carbon fiber, with large suspension travel (typically 8 inches or more). These bikes are built for speed and safety, not for climbing.
