Inkjet Printing Fault Collection Continuous ink supply into continuous ink

Fault phenomenon:

â—‡ Perform many times of cleaning orders every day before normal printing.
â—‡ Printed test lines always have broken wires.
The test line that just started printing was normal, but it broke after a few pages.
â—‡ prints are always missing (usually black)
â—‡ The external ink cartridge has been left low for a long time. Now the ink line is not filled with ink.

Solution:

The above failure phenomenon is caused by the ink foaming in the ink cartridge. Six months after the continuous ink supply system was used, the accumulation of a small amount of tiny bubbles of air from the ink and a small amount of air bubbles entering the print cartridge from the print head gradually foamed the ink. The maintenance method is not complicated. Take out these foams and replace them with normal ink.

Incorrectly lowering the external ink cartridge will also accelerate the formation of the ink chamber foam. Even if the continuous ink supply system using the EPSON original ink cartridge is used, the above failure will also occur.

To troubleshoot this failure, follow these steps:

1. Remove the continuous ink supply system from the printer. After removal, do not invert the print cartridge. Place it on the same level as the external cartridge. If you used a sealing plug during initial installation, insert the sealing plug into each ink outlet on the bottom of the cartridge. For models with a memory chip on an EPSON later-produced ink cartridge, a sealing plug is not required since the ink outlet is provided with a valve. Install a new or in-use original EPSON ink cartridge on the printer. This ink cartridge must be an original ink cartridge with no through hole, no ink injection, and no damaged label. Genuine original EPSON ink cartridge can ensure correct test results during testing. This step is indispensable.

2. After the ink carriage is homed, the printer will perform natural cleaning once. Please execute the nozzle check print test line. The cleaning and printing test lines can be repeated three more times until the test line is completely normal. Then print a four-color or six-color color patch test chart (depending on your model, print set in 360DPI / plain paper), the color patch test chart must be printed continuously 3 to 5, while observing the printer is working properly. If there is an abnormal print, repeat the above steps. If the printer is still abnormal after performing 9 to 12 cleanings, allow the printer to rest for 12 hours before testing. In most cases, the printer can return to normal.

When the color patch test pattern printed by the printer is stable, it can be determined that your printer head is intact. Once you have reached the conclusion that your printer is normal, you can continue the following steps to maintain your continuous ink system.

If you still cannot print properly after using the above method, please contact EPSON repair center or contact the printer repair shop for repair. Although the non-continuous ink supply system fails at this time, contact with us can still get the corresponding help. Before deciding to deliver EPSON repair center repairs, please remove the parts and labels related to the continuous ink supply system, and do not refer to EPSON the use of third-party inks or continuous ink supply systems, just indicate that you are using EPSON original ink cartridges and Explain the failure phenomenon.

3. When your printer is working properly, the following steps can restore your continuous ink supply system to normal.

Insert the tip of a 50-ml disposable syringe tube (without the needle) into the ink outlet at the bottom of the print cartridge connected to the continuous ink supply system. Slightly tilt the syringe tube to begin ink extraction from the cartridge. The ink should then be removed. It is sucked into the print cartridge from the external cartridge through the ink line, and is continuously sucked into the syringe tube. When the syringe tube is full, observing how much ink and foam is drawn will tell what causes the continuous ink supply system to print poorly. The printer will not print the foamed ink normally. You must take it out through the syringe.

Uncover the rubber plug of the external ink cartridge and refill the ink from the syringe back to the external ink cartridge. This process does not waste ink. The foamy ink will turn into liquid ink in two hours.

This ink extraction process was repeated with a syringe until little foam was seen in the extracted ink. This requires approximately 100 ml of ink to be guaranteed. That is, the ink suction process needs to be repeated twice.

Note: The ink-drawing process should be slow, pause, and cut not too fast.

Perform the above ink extraction procedure in the order of yellow → light magenta → magenta → light cyan → cyan → black. When changing the color, be sure to wash the syringe with warm water. If your cartridge uses a sealing plug, other color ink outlets should be plugged with a sealing plug when operating in a color chamber.

4. Put the ink cartridge back to the printer together with the continuous ink supply system, and check and debug until it is normal according to the operation sequence of step 2 above.
