A major breakthrough in the development of radiation coolers

Recently, the mid-resolution imaging spectrometer radiant cooler developed by Shanghai Institute of Technology for China’s Fengyun 3 Meteorological Satellite has completed the development of pattern-like prototypes and prototype-structured thermal control satellites, and conducted thermal vacuum tests and mechanical properties. Under test, the result is good.
The mid-resolution imaging spectrometer radiant cooler is a new generation of large-capacity radiation coolers. The new chiller thermodynamic performance index greatly exceeded the overall requirements, the secondary temperature reached 82K, cooling capacity reached 110mW at 97K, breaking the 100mW mark.
