AgrTopWave and SIG Corpoplast have been working closely together for several years on the quality inspection of preforms and bottles. AgrTopWave's PETWall plusTM is a process monitoring system that can be integrated into the SIG stretch blow molding to complete the complete inspection of all produced bottles. By ensuring the optimal material distribution of the container, PETWall plusTM can significantly reduce the cost of producing the entire PET container.
PETWall plusTM monitors material distribution with up to four infrared wall thickness sensors. Due to the comprehensive internality of the blow molding machine, the system measures and inspects the wall thickness and material distribution of the container during production. With PETWall plusTM, each container can be monitored in real time for deviations in material distribution and process issues related to material distribution at production speeds. When process changes occur, they can be easily identified and operators are encouraged to take action in advance. Detailed cavity-related feedback provides information to the blow molding operator. This information is essential to identify problems and ensure that the blow molding machine operates efficiently to produce a container with the desired level of performance.
