Terplex launched by Ube Industries is a terpolymer containing PA6, PA66 and PAl2 monomers. Its high shrinkage, deep pressure thermoforming performance, lower melting point (thus less thermal decomposition during processing), better transparency. The bending strength is higher. The intended use is for the packaging of meat, food, and sausages. Terplex has a melting point of 190°C, PA6/PA66 has a melting point of 196°C, and PA6/PA12 has a melting point of 199°C.
