High-speed desiccant automatic insertion system

Teva Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of generic drugs, is currently converting canned desiccants into pouches at its factory in Sellersville, Philadelphia, which will save the plant $150,000 annually. The factory produces about 20 million packaging medicines each year.

Teva used 3/4 grams, 1 gram, and 2 gram cans of desiccant. However, hopper clogging and frequent shutdown of the production line prevented Teva's automatic insertion equipment from operating at full speed. The shortage of cans was also a long-term threat. The automatic canned desiccant insertion system can only complete 25 to 75 bottles per minute depending on the size of the bottle. With the Multisorb's StripPax®, a small bag insertion system, Teva can now perform up to 300 bottles of desiccant insertions per minute. The reliability of the equipment also reduces the production line downtime.

Active-Pak's numerous sensors, controllers, and state-of-the-art PLCs ensure stable desiccant insertion operations; the line can operate any type of desiccant pouch package at the desired speed; another advantage of this device is its mobility - APA device Supports more than two production lines, and desiccant can be dispensed as needed.
