Industry and Commerce reminder: the purchase of children's furniture should refer to the new national standard

The new national standard for furniture structure regulations stipulates that children's furniture products should not have dangerous sharp edges and dangerous sharp tips, and the corners and edges should be rounded or chamfered. The product should not have dangerous protrusions.

Recently, Ms. Li came to the Yanqing Industrial and Commercial Bureau to reflect that she wants to buy a children's furniture. However, the concept cards such as “children's paint” and “environmental paint” are attractive at the market, making it impossible to choose and hope to help.

On August 1 this year, the "General Technical Standards for Children's Furniture" was officially implemented. In order to ensure the implementation of the new national standard and fully guarantee the safety of children's groups, since August, Yanqing Industrial and Commercial Branch has made every effort to strengthen market supervision and launch a special inspection action to urge the implementation of the new national standards for children's furniture. Up to now, the Industrial and Commercial Bureau has dispatched more than 100 law enforcement officers, inspected 36 households of children's furniture business households, issued 2 rectification notices, and urged the replacement of 3 batches of furniture that did not meet the new standards.

Here, Yanqing Industrial and Commercial Branch reminds consumers to pay more attention to the relevant contents of the new national standard for children's furniture, pay attention to the following points.

The new national standard for furniture structure regulations stipulates that children's furniture products should not have dangerous sharp edges and dangerous sharp tips, and the corners and edges should be rounded or chamfered. The product should not have dangerous protrusions.

More environmentally friendly standards for furniture fabrics are banned to decompose aromatic amines. The new national standard prohibits the use of decomposable aromatic amines in leather and textile fabrics for children's furniture. This is a dye synthesized by carcinogenic aromatic amines. It is popular among many small and medium-sized textile companies because of its low price, strong tinting strength and bright and long-lasting color. However, its toxicity and carcinogenicity are more harmful than formaldehyde, and it is insoluble in water and cannot pass. The washing method is removed.

Increased flame retardant performance requirements This new national standard also puts "flame retardant requirements" on children's furniture. Not only household furniture needs to be flame retardant, but also furniture used in public places must have flame retardancy, such as in kindergartens. All furniture is required to be flame retardant. In case there is a fire, it will cause a large number of children and groups to die.

In addition to the strict requirements for safety indicators, the closed ventilation of the furniture is also strictly regulated for some structural safety problems that are particularly prone to children. Glass parts should not be used where the height of the ground or the height of the child's standing surface is less than 1.6 meters, so as not to scratch the child.

Stainless Steel KitchenWare is absolutely everywhere in the kitchen. If you don't have sleek stainless steel appliances or kitchen islands, you probably have stainless steel pans, mixing bowls, and utensils. Ever wonder how stainless steel came to be so universal in cooking? One hint: it's more than just it's pretty looks.
Steel is fantastic stuff. It's an iron alloy and strong as all get-out. It doesn't chip, bend, or crack easily (though it does scratch), and it stays shiny over years of use.
Just one problem: it rusts. Enter stainless steel.
Stainless steel is a metal alloy with about 10-11% chromium. When exposed to air, the chromium in the metal forms a film of chromium oxide over the surface. This film is passive and non-toxic, and most importantly, it prevents the steel from rusting by shielding it from air and moisture. Even if the metal gets scratched, the chromium oxide reforms seamlessly.
This gives us all the excellent properties of Stainless Steel Kitchenware without the worry of rust. It's also non-reactive, unlike aluminum and iron, so we can use it for preparing and cooking acidic foods.
Simply put, we use stainless steel kitchenware in the kitchen because it's one of the most durable, versatile, and worry-free metals available. It's hard to argue with that!
