Special cardboard for frozen chicken nuggets

This new type of packaging was designed and manufactured by CARTONAGE, UK, which is responsible for processing and forming. This is the assignment of ASDA, one of the UK's largest supermarkets, to the CARTONAGE company to develop a new package for frozen chicken. ARTONAGE worked closely with carton manufacturer FRONTLINEFOODS to introduce this octagonal lid and hexagonal bottom drum package.

ARTONAGE's Sales Director, ANDY CLOVIS, said: “We are very satisfied with this packaging, but creating a package requires more than just the cooperation of carton makers and manufacturers. It also requires the assistance of material suppliers and retailers. We choose FRI CARRY board is used for this package, mainly because of its good hardness, strength, and moisture resistance."

The large capacity of the carton (1.4 kg) requires a good tear resistance and hardness of the paperboard. In addition, due to the storage environment of the frozen chicken pieces, the carton is required to have good moisture resistance. The hardness of FRI CARRY paperboard makes this package very clear and angular, so it will not become spherical, and the use of UV coating on the carton and enhanced moisture resistance. This drum-shaped carton pack is 6 color printing, using a Roland 7-color printing press.
