Germany developed foam packaging materials

The PSP company in Bremen, Germany, has developed a foam paper production process. The replacement of foam with packaging materials made from foam paper can effectively reduce environmental pollution.
PSP's foam paper uses old newspaper scraps and flour as raw materials. Its production process is to first cut the recycled old newspapers and newspapers into pieces, then grind them into fibrous pulp, and mix them with flour in a ratio of 2:1. The mixed pulp materials are injected into the extruder and compressed into cylindrical particles. During the extrusion process, the raw material is foamed by water vapor to form a foam paper. Using foam paper pellets as raw materials, different shapes of packaging materials can be produced as required.
Compared with foam plastics, foam paper has a relatively simple production process and can be molded at one time, eliminating the need for multiple foaming and cooling processes. Bubble foam does not require chemical additives, only water vapor. The production and use of foamed paper are both environmentally friendly and can be treated like ordinary waste. Used foam paper can also be recycled and reprocessed. From the economic point of view, producing the same amount of packaging materials, foam paper is 10% cheaper than foam.
Foam paper has a good application prospect. It can be used not only as a packaging material, but also as an insulating material and construction material. (Quicksand) (From "China Packaging News")
